Despite the best efforts of the weather to curtail the fun the Eastbourne Airshow 2019 was enjoyed by thousand, proving why it achieves the accolade of “Britains Best Airshow” celebrating 28 years of excellence.
With more than 50 displays the Airshow ranges from the deep roars of the RAF Typhoon to the skills of the Wingwalkers and daring parachutists. (The Tigers Parachute Display Team confirmed the good news that despite an accident when landing there were no serious injuries). Sadly the poor weather meant the cancellation of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Guests enjoyed the high standard of hospitality and entertainment the Eastbourne Airshow 2019 team organised. Public sector publisher Paul Ralph said, “once again it was great food”. Carrot Events Managing Director Faiza Shafeek said “the Airshow is very special, and makes you very proud of Eastbourne. In addition to the business activity in the town the occasion provides excellent exposure for charities and community groups – and of course fun for all the family”!
Gemini Print Director Mark Tulley said “It was a pleasure to be the print partner for the Eastbourne Airshow once again. Feedback on how the programmes have become collector’s items is very rewarding for the Gemini Print team. It was gusty, but the heavy rain held off until later in the afternoon. Every display was impressive – the highlight for me was the Breitling Jets. The Breitling Jets are the worlds largest professional flight display team, and they made their Sussex debut in impressive style Precision, speed, audacity – a great blend of technique, aero ballet and micro timing!”
