GEMINI GROUP NEWS
As 2018 draws towards a close the Gemini Print team gained more reasons to celebrate.
Thanks to votes from clients, colleagues and suppliers the group managing director Steve Cropper ranked in the public vote top 25 printers in the UK. Four thousand eight hundred people took part, so the accolade of being included is an excellent achievement.
Also, Print Week magazine published the Power 100, and all the Gemini Print team were delighted that Steve achieved this listing of ‘the most influential business leaders’.
The Print Week Power 100 is the print industry equivalent of the Oscars! This year 20 new people from the industry were selected by the editor, Darryl Danielli, his team and public nominations.
Darryl said “All the business leaders featured deserve their places because, collectively, they’re much more than simply influencers; they’re innovators, inspirers, and instigators. In short, they do the exact same things print does.”
The Gemini Print team love helping people gain from the excellent response and engagement that the ‘power of print and paper’, mixed with clever innovation and creativity, can achieve.

It is a nerve-wracking experience submitting an entry into the Oscars of the printing world! The criteria are strict, and the entry process and specifications for detailed reporting to the judges is daunting.
Then the pain of the entry disappears in a flash when the judges notify you that you are a shortlisted Finalist – time for big smiles as you know the entry level was very high and hugely competitive. This ‘joy’ is quickly replaced by weeks of trepidation when you see the standard of all the finalists in the six-strong list!
When the good news that Gemini Print were WINNERS was announced during the glittering Print Week event at the Grosvenor House in London, there was a huge mix of emotions – from shock to absolute delight! Celebrations across the business were enjoyed, and it was fantastic to receive many calls and notes of congratulations from clients and suppliers.
Print Week Awards 2018 – Marketing Campaign of the Year. The judge’s citation included “That’s what marketing is all about” “Fantastic ROI that delivers on the brief”.
Teams throughout the company celebrated as this is exactly the approach they work hard to achieve for clients work too! The Gemini Print Look Book is so much in demand a fourth re-print is in progress, and the fifth is already in planning.
The Gemini Print Look Book is an effective tool that enables clients to work with their print consultant – easily experiencing a range of ideas and options.
Effective professional commercial printing consultants now focus on what a client needs to achieve: a response target, engagement levels and the return on investment, so Gemini Print and clients work in partnership to ensure winning marketing!
Thank you to sponsors Quadient and all the judges. You made 160 Gemini Print colleagues very happy!
It was excellent news to be told that the Starr Trust had selected
Gemini Print as their Business of the Month.
Gemini Print partners with a carefully reviewed range of charities and community groups. Starr Trust is a small independent family managed charity that works hard to support young people from the BN postcode sector to fulfill their potential and ambitions. The help, training and funding for 10 to 18-year-olds with grants of up to £5000 can focus on sport, art or education.
For many years the work of the Starr Trust has been helped by Gemini Print sponsoring all of their print requirements.
Steve Cropper, Managing Director, said: “I never cease to be impressed by how much the fundraising and mentoring by the Starr Trust transforms the lives of young people. All the team at Gemini Print are proud to be associated with the Starr family and the Starr Trust crew. Meetings are always such fun with Tracey and Rosie (or should we use their double act nickname ‘Trosie’?!).”
Organised under the umbrella of the Adur & Worthing Business Partnership (AWBP) as a not for profit organisation the Adur & Worthing Business Awards are organised by a committee of local business people and leaders including ETI, JSPC Computer Services, Seagull Travel, Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce and Adur & Worthing Council.
The awards are in their 11th year and viewed as one of the most credible of all business awards in the south.
In 2017 Gemini Print was honoured with three wins including the Overall Company of the Year.
We are delighted to have received the news that Gemini Print are shortlisted as Finalists for the 2018 awards. Manufacturing & Engineering (sponsored by Carpenter Box) and Customer Service (sponsored by Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce).
Steve Cropper, Managing Director, said “We would like to thank all those clients who nominated us and supplied such strong testimonials. It is also fantastic to see the recognition for the vital manufacturing and production aspects of our business – there is so much skill involved to produce the standards we demand!”
The winners will be announced on the 16th November 2018.
